Crochet Saturn V

When I made the Saturn V, I wasn’t really thinking that it would be the first in a line of crocheted rockets that would let me relive the rocket/space age obsession of my youth. I just made it because I love the Saturn V! I mean it’s so cool!

It was just so much rocket. That’s what it took to shoot three guys into a crazy orbit to get to the moon.

Of course I had to make it to scale. What rocket-obsessed, crochet-loving person wouldn’t? The whole thing is about 2 feet long.

Oh yes, and here is my attempt at an epic, launch-pad style view:

If you’re interested in the pattern, I’m selling it at my Etsy shop and on Ravelry.

And, let me tell you, it’s impossible to have this lying around without someone playing with it. If this is out and you have people over, there is a very high probability that they will pick it up and make rocket noises with it. I’m just warning you.
